Domiciliary Care
Unity provides various home care packages to help you maintain your chosen lifestyle. Those are anything from a short visit to 24-hour care. We know that every person is unique, and so should be their care, and that is why we will let you tell us how you like things to be done. You are in control every step of the way; it is your home and your life, so the choice also must be yours.
What is Domiciliary Care (Home Care)?
This is the support that will help you stay at home rather than going to a residential care home.
Our carer can:
- Assist you at the begging of the day with getting out of bed, personal care, getting dressed and having breakfast
- Assist you with medication whether you need someone to remind you or help you administer them; they will be there for you
- Help you collect your prescription from your pharmacy or GP
- Help you with meal preparation or prepare it for you and assist you at mealtime
- Assist you with shopping and help you put it all away
- Help you with housekeeping such as laundry, ironing and keeping your home clean and tidy
- Assist you when attending social activities, meeting friends or even just going for a walk
- Give you a helping hand with personal care, changing bedding or helping you to have a bath
- Assist you to get ready for bed
